Plasterer — McHenry County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a plasterer in McHenry County, Illinois. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work on both new build and refurbishment sites • Able to read drawings and set out work to a deadline • Able to mix plaster to the right consistency by feel The role involves: • Apply tanking and renovating plaster to damp walls • Polish the final coat with a steel trowel and water brush • Mix gypsum plaster and cement render to a workable consistency • Tape and joint plasterboard seams with scrim and filler • Skim plasterboard to a smooth finish ready for decoration • Patch and repair cracked, blown or hollow plaster Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
