Now hiring: we are hiring a tower crane operator in Ohaozara, Ebonyi State. The job is on a bridge and infrastructure project. You should have: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes On the job you will handle: • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
