Immediate opening: halal butcher (Florida)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a halal butcher in Levy County, Florida. You will be based at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Day to day you will keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools. What we are looking for: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
