Ideal candidate: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage Your main tasks: • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge Pay around $3,900 per month, based on your experience.
