Great opportunity: we are hiring an estate gardener in Pulaski County, Illinois. You will be based at a private estate garden. Ideal candidate: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Happy to work outdoors in all weather On a typical shift you will dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds; check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn; repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings; mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers.
