Join our team: we are hiring a retail butcher in Bibb County, Georgia. Day to day you will monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts. Ideal candidate: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate 6+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours.
