Immediate opening: we are hiring an oven operator in Davis County, Iowa. The job is at an in-store supermarket bakery. The role involves: • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls Requirements: • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • 2+ years' experience as a baker • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
