We are recruiting: we are hiring a steam press operator in Kent, England. The job is in a tailoring workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments You should have: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Full-time with occasional weekends.
