Halal butcher — Jefferson County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a halal butcher in Jefferson County, Alabama. On a typical shift you will monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools. Requirements: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
