Requirements: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Day-to-day duties: • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel Rotating shifts.
