Horticulturist • White Pine County, Nevada

Vacancy available: we are hiring a horticulturist in White Pine County, Nevada. You will work in a botanical garden. Ideal candidate: • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting Day-to-day duties: • Operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
