Vacancy available: we are hiring a CNC mill setter-operator in Chugach Census Area, Alaska. The job is at a busy machine shop. On the job you will handle: • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges Requirements: • Experience on Fanuc/Siemens CNC controls • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
