Now hiring: we are hiring a fettler in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. On a typical shift you will shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding We offer ₹1,200 per day plus benefits.
