Core maker • Upton County, Texas

Vacancy available: we are hiring a core maker in Upton County, Texas. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Basic grinding and fettling skills You will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. 5+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $5,300 per month, based on your experience. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
