Port container crane operator — Whatcom County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Whatcom County, Washington. You will work on a bridge and infrastructure project. On the job you will handle: • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift What we are looking for: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
