Immediate opening: pastry baker (Michigan)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a pastry baker in Keweenaw County, Michigan. You will be based at a cake shop. What we are looking for: • Food handler / hygiene certificate • Able to work early-morning and night shifts • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics The role involves: • Score the top of loaves before baking • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch • Proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
