Mechanical press operator wanted in Wayne County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a mechanical press operator in Wayne County, Iowa. You will work in a sheet metal stamping unit. Your main tasks: • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Set up and change stamping dies and tooling Requirements: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses Full-time with occasional weekends. $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
