Building site helper • Schuyler County, New York

Vacancy available: we are hiring a building site helper in Schuyler County, New York. You will be based on a road and bridge project. On a typical shift you will carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction; hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors. What we are looking for: • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain Overtime paid at a premium rate.
