We are recruiting: we are hiring a dogger in Ketchikan Gateway Borough, Alaska. The job is at a container port. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear The role involves select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller.
