We are recruiting: blocklayer (Northern Ireland)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a blocklayer in Fermanagh and Omagh, Northern Ireland. You will work on a scaffolded high-rise site. Day-to-day duties: • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser You should have: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around £2,350 per month, based on your experience. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
