Now hiring: we are hiring an articulated lorry driver in Bourbon County, Kansas. The job is in a refrigerated transport fleet. What we are looking for: • Confident with manual handling and load securing • Valid HGV/LGV Class 1 (C+E) licence Day to day you will carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off; check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels; reverse and carry out blind-side manoeuvres at loading bays; couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock; keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load; plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
