Now hiring: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Grainger County, Tennessee. The job is in a steel fabrication yard. Day-to-day duties: • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller You should have: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams We offer $5,400 per month plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
