What we are looking for: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing The role involves: • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
