Rebar fixer wanted in City of Franklin

Immediate opening: we are hiring a rebar fixer in City of Franklin, Virginia. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. Day-to-day duties: • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors You should have: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) Pay around $2,800 per month, based on your experience. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
