Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Ikeja, Lagos State. The role involves: • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length Requirements: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
