Day to day you will apply etch primer to aluminium and galvanised panels; mix two-pack (2K) clear coat with hardener in the correct ratio; apply primer, base coat and clear coat with an HVLP spray gun; prime and seal bare metal to stop rust; set the spray gun air pressure and fan pattern for an even finish; check the colour match under booth lights against the maker's swatch. You should have: • Comfortable working in a spray booth with full PPE • Skilled with HVLP and gravity-feed spray guns • Physically fit to stand, bend and crouch for long periods Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
