Immediate opening: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Washington County, Mississippi. The role involves inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens We offer $3,000 per month plus benefits.
