Machinist wanted in Northampton County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a machinist in Northampton County, Pennsylvania. You will work at a busy garment factory. The role involves: • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes Ideal candidate: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Performance bonus on top of base pay.
