Great opportunity: we are hiring a turning centre operator in South Central Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. The job is in a job-work machining unit. The role involves change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets; watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes; check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed. Requirements: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
