Immediate opening: we are hiring a furniture maker in Burke County, North Carolina. You will fix studwork and plasterboard partitions; cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw; check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level; finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain. Ideal candidate: • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent • At least 2 years' hands-on carpentry experience Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
