Vertical milling machine operator • Onondaga County, New York

Immediate opening: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Onondaga County, New York. You will work in a CNC machining unit. Ideal candidate: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces Day-to-day duties: • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors We offer $4,400 per month plus benefits.
