Vacancy available: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Los Alamos County, New Mexico. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Your main tasks: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
