Furnace operator wanted in Sumter County

Now hiring: we are hiring a furnace operator in Sumter County, Alabama. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Day-to-day duties: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Six days a week, one day off.
