Great opportunity: we are hiring a construction helper in Appanoose County, Iowa. The job is with a civil contractor. The role involves: • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up • Pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator • Hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors • Cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days • Stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage • Wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean What we are looking for: • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day Rotating shifts.
