Great opportunity: aluminium TIG welder (England)

Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Portsmouth, England. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. What we are looking for: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols On a typical shift you will TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around £12 per hour, based on your experience. Share your details and we will call you back.
