Immediate opening: heavy equipment operator (Virginia)

Now hiring: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Russell County, Virginia. You will work in an open-cast mine. Day to day you will top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects; excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels; check for underground cables and services before digging; keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines; level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines; load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket. What we are looking for: • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster • Valid heavy equipment / plant operator licence • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
