Immediate opening: we are hiring a machinist in San Jacinto County, Texas. The job is in a textile and apparel unit. Your main tasks: • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
