Immediate opening: we are hiring a tig welder in Charlotte County, Virginia. The job is at a stainless steel fabrication shop. You should have: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight The role involves weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
