Immediate opening: we are hiring a press operator in Des Moines County, Iowa. The job is in a sheet metal stamping unit. Day-to-day duties: • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely • Set up and change stamping dies and tooling • Deburr and stack finished components for the next operation Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
