Banksman — Crook County

Now hiring: we are hiring a banksman in Crook County, Wyoming. You will work at a shipyard. Day to day you will coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads. What we are looking for: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
