Earthmoving plant operator — Sarasota County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an earthmoving plant operator in Sarasota County, Florida. You will be based at a plant hire yard. Day to day you will check for underground cables and services before digging; backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations; operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material; carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension; read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles. What we are looking for: • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures 2+ years on the tools preferred.
