Urgent requirement: GTAW welder (Texas)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Dawson County, Texas. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Your main tasks: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
