Urgent requirement: we are hiring a tyre bay technician in Linn County, Kansas. The job is at a car service centre. Ideal candidate: • Punctual and willing to work weekends • A good eye for tread wear and sidewall damage • Able to lift heavy car and truck tyres repeatedly On a typical shift you will repair punctures with mushroom plugs and internal patches; balance wheels on a computerised wheel balancer and fit clip-on weights; vulcanize larger cuts on commercial tyres; keep the tyre bay tidy and dispose of scrap tyres; torque the wheel nuts to spec with a torque wrench; jack up vehicles safely and set them on axle stands.
