Aluminium TIG welder • Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. You will work on a structural steel site. On the job you will handle: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal What we are looking for: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work 4+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. Pay around £2,400 per month, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
