Commercial refrigeration engineer — Shasta County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a commercial refrigeration engineer in Shasta County, California. You will work in a commercial cold storage facility. What we are looking for: • Comfortable handling refrigerant gases and gauge manifolds • Valid driving licence for field call-outs • Physically fit to lift compressors and carry ladders You will recover refrigerant gas before opening a sealed system; read suction and discharge pressures on the manifold gauges; check superheat and subcooling and trim the charge; trace leaks with an electronic detector and soap solution; braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch; measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter. 6+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $4,300 per month plus benefits. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
