Ladle pourer — Macoupin County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Macoupin County, Illinois. The job is at a busy iron foundry. What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Your main tasks: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
