Aluminium tig welder — Hancock County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Hancock County, Indiana. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. The role involves feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight 5+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off.
