Milling machinist — Shetland Islands

Vacancy available: we are hiring a milling machinist in Shetland Islands, Scotland. You will be based at an automotive components factory. The role involves measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square. Ideal candidate: • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
