Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances On a typical shift you will control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper.
