Stainless steel welder wanted in Baltimore County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Baltimore County, Maryland. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. Day to day you will tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Full-time, day shift.
